Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Automation Engineer to join our team at Tesco Technology. As a Security Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and implementing automated workflows that will save on human hours, improve consistency, reduce risk, and allow for faster and more effective response.

About the Role

As a Security Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Helping drive the security automation roadmap based on team feedback and through your own research, testing, and development.
  • Improving existing automations and playbooks to ensure optimal platform performance.
  • Maintaining the SOAR platform to ensure availability and optimal performance.
  • Collaborating with Security Engineering Managers, Security Engineers, Security Analysts, and Technical Programme Managers to ensure seamless integration and effective security measures.

Key Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Hands-on experience with cyber security tools and solutions (ideally SOAR platforms).
  • Understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework (or equivalent) and emerging threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Experience working and developing using Python.
  • Understanding of REST APIs and ability to develop and interact with REST APIs.
  • Experience working with public cloud.
  • Experience and working knowledge with operating systems – both Linux and Windows platforms.
