Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable primary school in Hitchin. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and providing a positive learning environment for our students.

About the Role:
  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities to students
  • Assist with managing behavior and maintaining a safe and respectful classroom environment
  • Work with small groups and one-to-one with students to provide additional support and guidance
  • Use imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience of all children
Requirements:
  • Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
  • Two recent professional references
  • Experience with behaviors that are challenging
  • A calm and caring personality
  • A strong and resilient personality and commitment to pupil development
  • Reading, writing, numeracy, and communication skills
  • Team Teach trained or willingness to attend training
