Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Hitchin. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teacher and students in the classroom, ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons to students of all abilities
  • Assist students with their learning, providing individualized support and guidance as needed
  • Help maintain a well-organized and safe classroom environment
  • Support the teacher in managing behavior and promoting positive relationships with students
  • Contribute to the development of a nurturing and inclusive classroom culture
Requirements:
  • Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
  • 2 recent professional references
  • Experience with behaviors that are challenging
  • A calm and caring personality
  • A strong and resilient personality and commitment to pupil's development
  • Reading, writing, numeracy, and communication skills
  • Team Teach trained or willingness to attend training
