Job Overview:

XQ Technical is seeking a talented Composite Materials Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing composite structures and components for various applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Composite Design and Development:
  • Design and develop composite structures and components using CATIA V5.
  • Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and drawings for composite parts.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and design reviews to ensure optimal material utilization and performance.
  • Perform structural analysis and simulations to validate design integrity.
  • Optimise composite designs for weight, strength, and manufacturability.
  • Collaborate with analysis engineers to interpret results and refine designs.
  • Technical Documentation:
  • Generate comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, assembly instructions, and test plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of design iterations, changes, and approvals.
  • Collaboration and Project Management:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and project management, to ensure seamless integration of composite designs.
  • Participate in project planning, timeline management, and milestone tracking.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams during the production phase.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in composite materials and manufacturing techniques.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes and methodologies.
