Job Title: Social Worker - Children in Care

Connect2SocialWork is seeking a skilled Social Worker to join their Children in Care team on a locum basis. As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing an allocated caseload, undertaking assessments, and providing services to families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage an allocated social work caseload, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Undertake assessments in accordance with legislation, policies, and procedures, identifying the needs of children and young people.
  • Negotiate, coordinate, and provide services as appropriate, ensuring the needs and wishes of children are fully addressed.
  • Share responsibility for planned intervention and service provision with partners, including statutory meetings and other planned meetings.
  • Comply with administrative and financial procedures, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements:
  • Experience in social work, preferably in a children in care setting.
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to work effectively with families.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with partners.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid working environment, with flexibility to work from home and in the office.
