Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement individualized support plans to help students manage their symptoms and overcome obstacles to learning.
  2. Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and external agencies to ensure a comprehensive approach to student support.
  3. Communicate effectively with parents and carers to keep them informed and involved in their child's progress and well-being.
  4. Pursue ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in SEMH support.
  5. Advocate for the needs of students with SEMH challenges within the school and the wider community.
  6. Create a safe and inclusive school environment that promotes psychological safety and well-being for all students.
Requirements:
  • Holding a teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) or commitment to pursue it.
  • Demonstrated maths and English qualifications to at least level 2.
  • Specialist teaching qualification in a chosen subject (desirable).
