About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Resuscitation Training Specialist to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. As a key member of our Resuscitation Services department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality resuscitation education and training programs to our staff.

The ideal candidate will have significant paediatric nursing experience in emergency medicine or ITU/HDU, with extensive knowledge of resuscitation education and training. You will also have experience in leading clinical education in resuscitation and nursing practices, as well as a proven ability to develop staff through mentoring and supervision.

In this role, you will work closely with our Resuscitation team to design, deliver, and evaluate resuscitation education programs. You will also be responsible for leading quality improvement initiatives and ensuring that our resuscitation services meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, deliver, and evaluate resuscitation education programs
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance resuscitation services
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for resuscitation education and training
  • Collaborate with the Resuscitation team to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them
  • Provide mentorship and supervision to staff to develop their resuscitation skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • NMC Registered Nurse
  • Instructor for Paediatric Advanced Life Support courses (e.g. EPALS/APLS/NLS/GIC)
  • Evidence of continuing professional development within resuscitation
  • Evidence of current Revalidation with NMC
  • Relevant Master's degree (working towards) or equivalent experience
  • Experience of debriefing training/PEERS training
  • Evidence of valid Resuscitation Teaching qualification (GIC)(Generic Instructors course)
