We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Accounts Payable function.
You will be responsible for undertaking daily corporate payments, ensuring they are completed within the deadline and according to the payment terms set by the supplier. This includes making ad-hoc manual payments to assist with urgent requirements of the business.
You will also complete the daily reconciliation of the corporate bank accounts to ensure all transactions are recorded daily. Additionally, you will understand and adhere to all process controls to ensure all activity in the role is fully compliant with business and legal requirements.
Other key responsibilities include coding and posting supplier invoices to the relevant nominal code and Cost centre, checking and processing staff expenses, and reviewing expenditure on corporate credit cards.
You will liaise with budget holders to acquire payment approval and deal with various queries. You will also generate, analyse, and reconcile month-end reporting files to assist in the consolidation of the management accounts.
This role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload to meet business requirements and service level agreements. You must be able to work well under pressure and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The salary for this role is approximately £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
