Therapist for Mental Health Clinics

A remarkable opportunity has emerged for an experienced Speech & Language Therapist to join our esteemed mental health clinic in Leicestershire. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will contribute to delivering exceptional patient care and support.
This innovative mental health service specializes in neurobehavioral rehabilitation, catering to individuals with acquired brain injuries, including traumatic brain injury (TBI) and stroke, or progressive neurological conditions (PNC).
Responsibilities:- You will be responsible for implementing individual treatment plans for speech and language therapy services, ensuring seamless delivery of treatments, activities, and interventions through effective communication and application.
- Your duties will include receiving and responding promptly to referrals, conducting assessments to identify and prioritize patient needs, planning, and delivering relevant interventions on an individual or group basis. Accurate and timely records must be maintained detailing each patient's rehabilitation progress.
- You will oversee the efficient management of more junior staff, fostering close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues within the multidisciplinary team. This involves ensuring clinical practice aligns with policies, procedures, and statutory regulations, as well as adhering to quality standards.
- Your contributions will also focus on business growth by promoting Priory Therapy Services in line with the local unit's business plan.
- Maintaining effective communication links with patients, relatives, carers, and purchasers throughout the patient's rehabilitation is essential.
- We are seeking candidates with 2-3 years of experience, including some specialized area expertise.
- Adaptive thinking, a can-do attitude, ability to use initiative, decision-making skills, and workload management are highly valued qualities.
The successful Speech & Language Therapist will enjoy an excellent annual salary of £55,000 pro rata. This permanent part-time role offers 30 hours of work per week. In recognition of your hard work and commitment, you will receive a range of benefits:
