Job Title: Dutch Language Instructor for Adults

Location: Covent Garden, London

Job Type: Part-time

Hours: In-person evening courses (18:30 – 20:30)

About the Role:

International House London is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Dutch language instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Dutch language courses to adults on our evening face-to-face programs at our school in Covent Garden.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Dutch language lessons to adult learners.
  • Create engaging and effective lesson materials and activities.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of courses and maintain consistent teaching standards.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities.

Requirements:

  • Must have the right to work in the UK and be currently based in the UK.
  • Dutch (C2 level).
  • Fluent English.
  • Initial teaching qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant teaching experience to adults.
  • Clear Police Record and Enhanced DBS.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Possess a CELTA, Trinity TESOL or DELTA.
  • QTS.
  • Hold a degree in Dutch Language and Literature or a degree in Modern Languages (English, Spanish, German, French, etc.).
