Job Title: Social Worker – Children with Disabilities Team
We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities Team in Wokingham. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality services to children with disabilities and their families, utilizing a signs of safety practice framework to support life skills development, increase independence, promote family resilience, and ensure child safety.
The Social Worker Role:
You will be responsible for a caseload of children with disabilities, spanning statutory provisions, including Children in Need, Child Protection Plans, Children in Care, and those where Care Proceedings have been initiated. You will work with these children and their families to conduct holistic social work assessments, identifying risk and need, and collaborating with multi-agency networks to develop and review plans addressing concerns in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of children with disabilities and their families
- Develop and implement effective support plans to address identified needs
- Collaborate with multi-agency networks to ensure comprehensive care and support
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and professionals
- Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and best practices
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary: £40,221 - £46,464 per annum (plus additional £3k market supplement)
