Senior Social Worker Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Adult Social Care team at Wokingham Borough Council. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a key role in providing guidance, support, and supervision to registered and non-registered Social Care professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective assessment and support planning processes to promote the well-being, independence, and safety of vulnerable adults.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Social Care professionals, ensuring high-quality services are delivered in line with legal frameworks, guidance, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with multi-agency partners to identify and address safeguarding concerns, ensuring the safety and well-being of adults at risk.
  • Manage and develop a varied and complex caseload, prioritizing tasks and resources to meet the needs of service users.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure best practice in Adult Social Care.
Requirements:
  • Registered Social Worker with Social Work England, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in Adult Social Care.
  • Full UK driving license and ability to travel as required.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise staff.
  • Experience of working with complex needs and managing risk, with a strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
