About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Volunteer and Community Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of victims of crime and their families.

As a Volunteer and Community Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and managing our existing volunteer team, recruiting new volunteers from diverse communities, and building strong relationships with local agencies and organizations.

You will also be responsible for raising awareness of our services and promoting our work through various channels, including social media and local media outlets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and manage existing volunteers, providing guidance and training to ensure they have the skills and confidence to deliver high-quality services.
  • Recruit new volunteers from diverse communities, ensuring our team reflects the communities we serve.
  • Build strong relationships with local agencies and organizations, promoting our services and identifying opportunities for collaboration.
  • Raise awareness of our services through various channels, including social media and local media outlets.
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage and retain volunteers, ensuring they feel valued and supported.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in volunteer management, community outreach, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with volunteers, staff, and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
