Electronics Product Development Specialist

CMC is seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join our team on a 12-month contract basis. As a key supplier to the automotive industry, we design and develop electrification products for commercial vehicles.
You will work closely with systems, software, mechanical, and safety engineers to produce complete vehicle solutions and individual product applications. This role offers exposure to the entire project lifecycle, with a focus on maintaining existing systems and developing new technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop analogue and digital electronics systems for safety-critical applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system engineering and product lifecycle considerations are met.
- Utilize industry-standard electronics CAD tools, such as Altium Designer, and simulation packages.
- Develop and prototype electronics systems, with expertise in bench testing, commissioning, and fault finding.
