Job Responsibilities

As a Trainee Management Accountant, you will gain vital experience by working directly with site managers and playing a key role in our financial processes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in budgeting, standard costing, and preparing monthly management accounts
  • Managing prepayments and accruals, and ensuring stakeholders stay informed through daily and monthly performance reports
  • Contributing to production and recovery analysis, and helping drive improvements by reviewing stock and production volumes
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A finance qualification or actively studying CIMA, Graduate or AAT
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, conditional formatting, charts, and Vlookups
  • The ability to communicate and discuss accounting terminology in a way non-finance stakeholders will understand
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines, particularly around accounting periods
