Job Summary

The Compliance Controls Trainee will provide active support to the UK Chief Operating Officer and the London Compliance team in matters relating to data manipulation and reporting, and coordination and updating of initiatives. The trainee will also assist the team with record-keeping, information gathering, and maintaining support tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Analysis: Managing data output and content from reporting tools, standardizing, error checking, and restructuring data output for use in reporting, monitoring annual plan progress, and ad hoc projects.

• Reporting: Producing management information packs and other key reports for the different business lines of the Group, preparing ad hoc presentations, and assisting the Chief Operating Officer with streamlining production and enhancing the quality of reporting.

• Coordination and Change Initiatives: Supporting the global Chief Operating Officer in the execution of the department's global change management program, acting as coordinator of key projects, ensuring coordination of change effort, and proactively liaising with responsible parties for updates.

• Other Responsibilities: Assisting the Chief Operating Officer in performing Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes, collating remedial actions and recommendations assigned to the team as required, assisting with the preparation and coordination of the team's annual plan, and actively liaising with colleagues at different levels of seniority.

About the Role

The Compliance Controls Trainee will work closely with the Compliance team to ensure the effective implementation of compliance controls and risk management strategies across the Group's business activities and global operations. The role will involve providing support to the Chief Operating Officer and the London Compliance team in matters relating to data manipulation and reporting, and coordination and updating of initiatives. The trainee will also assist the team with record-keeping, information gathering, and maintaining support tools.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of compliance controls and risk management strategies, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with colleagues at different levels of seniority.
