About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HGV Technician to join our client's team. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing technical work to the highest standards, ensuring the fleet of vehicles and trailers are maintained and repaired to the highest level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance, repairs, and modification work on the fleet of vehicles and trailers.
  • Provide technical support from fault analysis through to pre-MOT prep and full vehicle overhauls.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex faults on HGVs and trailers.
  • Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure all vehicles are maintained to the highest standard.

Requirements

  • Hold an HGV licence Class 1 (desirable but not essential).
  • Hold industry recognised qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three) in heavy vehicle service, maintenance, and repair.
  • Have a strong understanding of HGVs and trailers, including their mechanics and systems.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
