Role Overview

This is a business-facing role where you'll work closely with traders to implement new ideas and enhance our in-house trading applications while maintaining scalability. Your key responsibilities will include producing top-notch trading tools, improving performance on current systems, and exploring new techniques for enhancing trading algorithms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain trading algorithms and systems using C++, Java, or C#.
  • Collaborate with traders to identify new opportunities and improve existing trading strategies.
  • Design and implement scalable solutions to meet the needs of our growing business.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Excellent knowledge of Object-Oriented programming principles and practices.
  • A degree in Computer Science or a numerate subject (or relevant qualification).
  • The ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to prioritize tasks in a business context.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and a willingness to share knowledge and expertise.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience developing mission-critical, real-time systems.
  • Understanding of multithreaded and networked software development.
  • Cross-platform development skills (Windows and Linux).
  • Familiarity with scrum/agile methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
