Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Quality Scientist to join our team at Yorkshire Water. As a Water Quality Scientist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality water services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a coordinated response to incidents across the business, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations and performance commitments.
  • Undertake water quality consulting on a rotational basis, providing expert support and advice to the business.
  • Participate in the water quality standby rota, providing expert support and advice to the business.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize water quality performance and protect public health.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build relationships and influence decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of water quality processes and regulatory obligations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written report writing.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to handle large amounts of diverse data.
  • Excellent influencing and networking skills to build relationships with key stakeholders.
