Drinking Water Safety Planning Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Drinking Water Safety Planning Analyst to join our team at South West Water. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and quality of our drinking water supply.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support to our Drinking Water Services team using the Drinking Water Safety Planning approach.
- Assist in the preparation of a sustainable strategy for continuous risk review of the water supply chain.
- Maintain and update the DWSP systems in line with the DWSP methodology.
- Ensure compliance with relevant UK and EC legislation, particularly those related to drinking water quality.
- Review operational practices and processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Take action to maintain public health by identifying risks and liaising with colleagues.
- Advising operational managers on trigger point situations and providing guidance on appropriate action.
- Recommending and appraising new works proposals to assess their likelihood of meeting quality standards.
- Full UK driving license.
- HNC in a scientific discipline, degree preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant UK water legislation.
- A flexible approach to work and ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Good computing and presentation skills.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Commitment to developing a positive and strengthened relationship with colleagues.
