We are seeking a highly skilled Quarry Supervisor to join our team at Breedon Group plc. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient management of our quarry operations.
Key Responsibilities- Safety Management: You will be responsible for conducting risk assessments and health and safety inspections, and demonstrating leadership in safety to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Operational Management: You will support the Quarry Manager in managing production and extraction activities, troubleshooting technical problems, and overseeing planning and coordination with other departments.
- Administrative Duties: You will be responsible for writing reports, updating records, and reviewing and updating electronic defect databases.
- Time Management: You will need to plan and organize work in a time-efficient fashion to meet deadlines and ensure smooth operations.
- Team Leadership: You will be required to lead and motivate a team of employees to achieve operational goals and objectives.
- Experience: You will have a background in the extractive industry, with experience in quarry operations and management.
- Skills: You will possess strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
- Qualifications: You will hold a relevant qualification in a field such as quarry management, operations management, or a related field.
- Certifications: You will hold relevant certifications such as a Red/Blue card in wheeled loading shovel operation, and experience of operating mobile and/or static screening plant.
- Annual Leave: You will be entitled to 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays.
