Job Title: Nursery Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our team at a fantastic SEN school in Newham, East London. As a Nursery Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of EYFS students with severe learning difficulties and ASD.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young people and experience in supporting children with complex needs. You will be responsible for providing one-on-one support, helping students engage with their learning and develop independence through play-based learning.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of these pupils and work as part of a large special needs school that caters for students from ages 4-19. The successful candidate will enjoy a high degree of job satisfaction as they have the opportunity to apply their skills to working with EYFS aged students who need support building their independence and through play and art therapy.

About the Role:

- Provide one-on-one support to EYFS students with severe learning difficulties and ASD
- Work closely with class teachers to raise the learning of pupils and promote pupil's independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
- Give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement
- Support with planning, preparation and resourcing for lessons that promote play-based learning both indoor and outdoor
- Promote, support and facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities

About You:

- Have experience working with EYFS students or students in a nursery setting
- Possess sensitivity and understanding to help build good relationships with pupils
- Demonstrate a commitment to getting the best outcomes for all pupils and maintaining confidentiality at all times
- Be committed to safeguarding pupil's well-being and equality
- Have good organisational skills and ability to build effective working relationships with pupils and adults
- Enjoyment of working with young people and a desire to make a real impact in the lives of these pupils

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
