We're committed to providing excellent care and services to our clients and students, which has contributed to our successful growth. To maintain this pace, we're seeking an experienced Chef Manager to join our team.

The Role

As the Chef Manager, you'll have full operational and financial responsibility for our school catering facilities. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality food and service while showcasing your creativity and flair.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing your kitchen team to ensure exceptional performance
  • Managing catering operations, including stock, food, and labor costs
  • Ensuring consistency in food and service standards for students and staff
  • Driving sales through promotions and added-value events
  • Managing controllable costs and improving efficiency
  • Overseeing menu development and implementation
  • Maintaining company systems, procedures, and legislation compliance
  • Conducting regular audits to ensure standards are met
About You

We're looking for someone who shares our passion for delivering exceptional food and service. Key skills and experience include:

  • OND or HND qualification (advantageous but not required)
  • Craft-based experience using fresh ingredients
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Financial understanding of gross profit management and sales targets
  • Line management experience
  • Experience in a similar environment

  • 37.5 hours per week, with no late nights
  • Working 39 weeks per year, based around term time
  • £15.37 per hour

You'll also benefit from working with a fast-growing, ambitious company. Our dedicated L&D team will support you in developing your skills, including apprenticeships and training courses. We expect all staff to share our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. An enhanced DBS disclosure will be sought by the company.
