Management Accountant

Financial Leadership Role
Northern Gas and Power, an international energy procurement specialist, is seeking a Management Accountant to lead the Management Accounts team in producing timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
The successful candidate will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation by managing, mentoring, and developing team members, working alongside other teams, and liaising with finance and non-finance departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts with insightful commentary and analysis.
- Produce the Group consolidated accounts and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Report key KPIs and assist the Finance Manager in areas such as forecasting.
- Process and submit quarterly VAT returns in the UK and Malta.
- Liaise with external auditors and provide advice to the purchase ledger department.
Requirements
- Newly/Fully Qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA.
- Experience of meeting tight deadlines and excellent Excel skills.
- Desirable experience of SAP By Design and international company experience.
What We Offer
- Up to £50,000 salary (depending on experience).
- Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:00pm with flexibility required.
- Enhanced annual leave including additional time off in December.
- Permanent contract.
