About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior/Supervising Social Worker to join our team at Foster Care Associates, a leading fostering agency within the Polaris Community. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in developing and promoting our fostering services in the North West.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
  • Monitor the continued suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring they provide a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents, working in partnership to identify needs and develop solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with key documentation and attend meetings with commissioning teams.
  • Promote participation of children and young people in the development of the agency and their local community.
Requirements
  • A Social Work qualification and professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality report writing and a comprehensive working knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
  • The willingness and ability to travel extensively, including occasional nights away, and confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations.
  • A full driving licence and the ability to work in a team environment.
