About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Everlast Gyms. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for driving all commercial areas and facilitating exceptional member experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the team in all sales and operational processes, with a keen eye for detail and ability to drive results.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day running of the business, including managing controllable costs and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Recruit, nurture, and develop an elevated team capable of achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Represent Everlast Gyms as an ambassador for fitness and demonstrate our elevated ways of working.
  • Drive all revenue lines from membership sales to product and secondary sales, to drive overall profitability of the gym.
  • Effective management of stock orders and cleaning supplies to eliminate wastage and overspend.
  • Lead by example on reception and the gym floor in this member-facing role designed to enhance every visit.
  • Ensure central processes like FUNDAMENTALS, ASCEND, and MOVE are followed and delivered to the highest level consistently.
  • Drive collective buy-in to national focuses and incentives like #WorkoutWednesday and #WeCommunicate.
  • Lead the recruiting, monitoring, training, and onboarding of new team members within your gym.
  • Ensure that all daily, weekly, and monthly operational processes are completed consistently and to a high standard.
  • Willing and able to deliver honest, constructive feedback regularly to support all team members in achieving their potential and challenging them daily.
  • Reporting facilities and maintenance-related issues in accordance with best practice guidelines.
  • Be resilient and agile to react to challenging situations and find solutions.
  • Able to effectively manage all policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, including pool plant operations.

Requirements

  • Possession of a Level 2 qualification in fitness (desirable).
  • Strong leadership qualities and adaptability in communication and management style.
  • A positive, solutions-driven mindset in the face of adversity.
  • A member champion mentality with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Driven and ambitious with a keen desire to learn and develop both behaviors and competencies specific to the role.
  • Flexibility in working hours and location to support the needs of the business, including weekends and Bank Holidays when required.
