We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant at Topsham Primary School. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting children in school, encouraging and motivating them to reach their full potential.

Reporting to the head of school, the ideal candidate will have experience of working in a classroom situation and possess good communication skills. They will be required to work predominantly in Key Stage 1/Early Years but may occasionally be required to work across all areas of the school.

Key responsibilities will include supporting access to learning, attending to the welfare and personal care of pupils, and providing organisational and clerical support to the teacher.

Key Requirements:
• To be calm but firm and enjoy working with children;
• A minimum qualification at GCSE Maths and English;
• Experience of working in a classroom situation or a qualification as a Teaching Assistant;
• Good, courteous communication skills.

This role requires a DBS disclosure and the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
