Digital Waffle is a FinTech Start-Up that is now looking to add another Senior Software Engineer to its team of Engineers. This role is suitable for an autonomous worker who wants to be in and around the office on a Hybrid basis (2/3 days a week).

Job Description

This is a full-stack role that requires expertise across JavaScript technologies including Node.JS, Vue.JS, NestJS and TypeScript - with knowledge of AWS preferential. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data management (relational & NoSQL databases) and a focus on user-centered design principles (usability & UX).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy production-ready systems
  • Work with a team of Engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building production-ready systems
  • Experience with one of Python, C#, Golang, or Java
  • A willingness to primarily work with JavaScript technologies (TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS)
  • Front-end frameworks (Vue.js, React, Angular)
  • Solid understanding of data management (relational & NoSQL databases)
  • Focus on user-centered design principles (usability & UX)
  • Adherence to clean coding practices (readability, maintainability, continuous improvement)
  • Experience with industry-standard software development practices (testing, code reviews, immutability)
