About the Role:

Spot is seeking a highly skilled Associate Architect to join our innovative team of architects based in Slough, Berkshire. As an Associate Architect, you will play a key role in delivering high-profile projects from conception to completion, ensuring the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of the practice, working on Higher Risk Buildings and engaging in all RIBA Plan of Work stages from 0 to 7.
  • Take on the responsibilities of the CDM and Building Control Principal Designer (BC PD).
  • Be an active member of the team, taking responsibility for running fast-paced, live projects.

Requirements:

  • Experience with higher-risk buildings and relevant construction legislation.
  • Knowledge of the CDM & BC Principal Designer roles, the Building Safety Act 2022, and associated regulations.
  • Expertise in The RIBA Plan of Work, RIBA Job Lists, and RIBA Building Control Tracker.
  • Proficiency in using NBS Chorus for specifications and AutoDesk Revit.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001.
  • Project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong team leadership abilities.
  • Registration with the Architects Registration Board and preferably RIBA.
