Principal Dams and Reservoirs Engineer

Job Overview
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly skilled Principal Dams and Reservoirs Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our cities and environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
- Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
- Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
Requirements
- Chartered Civil Engineer.
- Interest in developing into the role of Reservoir Supervising Engineer.
- Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
- Sound knowledge of hydraulic and/or geotechnical engineering as applied to the management and design of dams and reservoirs and their associated hydraulic structures.
- In-depth knowledge of current UK design standards, guidance, and working practices, including the Reservoirs Act.

Additional Information
This role may require security clearance, and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
