We are seeking a talented Data Centre Technical Specialist to join our team in Farnborough, Hampshire. In this resident-based role, you will work Monday to Friday delivering planned and reactive maintenance to electrical, mechanical, and general HVAC/building services systems.

The successful candidate will have experience working within and around critical services plant, with a high level of understanding of the data centre environment. Proactive involvement in the on-going technical evaluation of all plant and equipment, suggesting improvements where necessary, is also crucial.

This is a rare opportunity to work in a data centre setting without the usual 24/7 shift roles, offering a better work-life balance. With a salary of up to £47,000, plus an additional £5/6,000 per year for the call-out rota, this role provides a competitive compensation package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary engineering subject matter expert for both client and internal teams.
  • Perform planned and reactive engineering work, including daily, weekly proactive tasks, alarm response, fault finding, maintenance, repairs, and modification of equipment.
  • Supervise all operational and maintenance activities, ensuring work is executed safely and in compliance with SLAs.

Requirements:

  • Electrical Trade Qualifications (or Degree Qualified).
  • Team-first mentality and willingness to learn and develop on the job.
  • Experience of liaising with multiple disciplines to drive solutions to complex operational issues within a critical environment.
