PT Engineering & Manufacturing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Workshop Supervisor to join its team. As a key member of the workshop team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Electrical Workshop, overseeing project installations, and ensuring high standards of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities- Communication and Team Management: Serve as a communication link between the workshop team and the engineering department, ensuring effective collaboration and coordination.
- Project Management: Collaborate with various business departments to contribute to time planning for projects, ensuring timely completion and meeting project deadlines.
- Quality Assurance: Promote and maintain good working practices in the workshop and on-site, overseeing the quality of workmanship and supporting the development of apprentices' skills.
- Workshop Operations: Manage daily duties within the workshop and Stores area, ensuring an organized and efficient workshop environment.
- Installation and Maintenance: Oversee the installation of project equipment on-site and GRP substations within the workshop, manage the installation of electrical containment, and interpret and follow technical drawings and electrical diagrams.
- Customer Interaction: Handle on-site customer interactions professionally, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.
- Team Leadership: Lead daily team meetings, manage project allocation and progress, and motivate the team to meet project deadlines.
- Qualifications: Relevant electrical qualification (e.g., Level 3 qualification in a relevant field), BTec, City and Guilds, or recognized apprenticeship/training in electrical work.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Team Leader, preferably within the electrical industry, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical schematics, proficient in general IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook), and SAP knowledge is desirable but not essential.
- Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Friday: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm (Early finish Friday).
- Benefits: Free on-site parking, bonus scheme (up to 10% monthly bonus), early finishes on Fridays, 24 days of holiday plus eight standard UK bank holidays, company pension, and on-site parking.
