Main Responsibilities
  • Student Support
    • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning.
    • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure seamless support and progress.
    • Collaborate with the inclusion team to develop and implement strategies to promote inclusion and diversity.
  • Professional Development
    • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting students with special educational needs.
    • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to student support and inclusion.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • GCSE Level standard or equivalent qualifications.
    • Knowledge and understanding of pupils with social and emotional difficulties that may impact upon their behavior.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly both verbally and in writing.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft software.
    • Some knowledge of social issues facing students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • High level of emotional intelligence and empathy.
