Accountant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team at a well-established accountancy practice in the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to work with a friendly team, predominantly focusing on a mixed portfolio of SME clients.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounts preparation, with experience in VAT and personal tax. They will be responsible for assisting the VAT team with quarterly management accounts and VAT returns, providing advice to clients on salary and dividends, and preparing personal tax returns. The successful candidate will also be the first point of contact for allocated clients, responding to various client enquiries in a timely and accurate manner.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • Qualifications or exceptional experience as an accountant
  • A minimum of five years' experience gained within a practice environment
  • Solid experience of accountancy software, including Sage, IRIS, FreeAgent, and Kashflow
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
