We seek talented professionals to join our engineering team and contribute to our mission of redefining hospitality. As a key member, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our Residence and its systems.
Salary: £34,000 per annum (average 42 hours/week)
Job Overview- Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Guest service and issue resolution, addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
- Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and conducting repairs or coordinating with external contractors when necessary.
- Ensuring safety and security through regular inspections and system maintenance.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and safety inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Collaborating with other departments to achieve seamless guest experiences.
- Responding to emergencies and urgent situations, minimizing disruptions and risks.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in engineering to enhance operational efficiency.
- Proven experience in shift engineering or a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Desirable technical certifications or trade licenses.
- In-depth knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire and life safety systems.
- Proficiency in performing repairs and maintenance tasks related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Familiarity with energy management and conservation practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and external contractors.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces if required.
- Knowledge of relevant safety and building codes and regulations.
