This role is an exciting opportunity to join Clackmannanshire Council as a Senior Practitioner in our Children's Social Work team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing supervision, consultation, and advice to staff and students, as well as working in partnership with other services to support families.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Team Leaders in the development and delivery of an effective Children's Social Work Service.
- Provide supervision, consultation, and advice to staff and students as appropriate.
- Work in partnership with other services provided to families either internally or externally to the Council.
- Keep up to date and impart knowledge to staff in relation to changes in legislation, statutory guidance, and developments in theory and practice.
- Manage a smaller caseload of complex cases.
- Deputise on occasion for the Team Manager and promote best professional practice.
- Undertake the writing and presentation of reports to Children's Hearings, Case Conferences, etc.
- Implement and deliver group work and related provisions as directed by the management team.
- Lead on key areas of practice development, such as Youth Justice, Kinship Care, Fostering, and Adoption.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of children's social work and the ability to work effectively with families and other stakeholders. You will also need to be able to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
