Caring Support Specialist

As a Caring Support Specialist at Marie Curie, you will play a vital role in providing companionship and support to individuals with a terminal illness and their families. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives.
Your primary responsibility will be to offer emotional support, practical assistance, and signposting for additional resources. You will work closely with the Volunteering Operations Team to ensure seamless delivery of the service.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain regular communication with your manager, updating them on any significant changes or developments affecting the person you're supporting and their family.
- Submit detailed visit reports to your manager, ensuring relevant systems are updated accordingly.
- Attend ongoing training and group events to remain equipped to deliver this critical service.
- A commitment to confidentiality, discretion, and respect for the individual's circumstances.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with the Volunteering Operations Team.
