Senior Network Engineer Job Description

Barclays is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our Complex Delivery team. As a key member of our team, you will play a leading role in the technical delivery of transformational programs and networks led initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement high-quality infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability.
  • Develop and implement automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
Requirements:
  • SME level experience in a combination of Fortinet FortiGate, Cisco Firepower/ASA, and Juniper Routing and Switching technologies.
  • Strong understanding of network disciplines, including governance, change management, and risk/audit requirements.
  • Cisco Certified - minimum CCIE Enterprise, FortiGate Professional, and F5 LTM/GTM at 'Certified Technical Specialist' or equivalent level.
