Senior Network Engineer Job Description

Barclays is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our Complex Delivery team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the technical delivery of transformational programs and networks led initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex network architectures.
  • Develop and implement automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
Requirements:
  • SME level experience in a combination of Fortinet FortiGate, Cisco Firepower/ASA, and Juniper Routing and Switching technologies.
  • Strong understanding of network security, including Fortinet FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer, and Cisco Firepower/ASA.
  • Experience with automation tools, such as software scripting/coding disciplines.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations, and contribute to the organization's technology communities.
