Exciting SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

Hays Careers are recruiting on behalf of an SEN school based in Leek for Teaching Assistants to provide long term support to students with a variety of SEN needs. This role is ideal for someone looking to make a positive impact and build a rewarding career in education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Complex Needs.
  • Assist the teacher with classroom preparation, lead group work, and help with pupil observations.

What You'll Need:

  • A full UK Driver's license is desirable.
  • Able to work full time Mon-Fri 08.30 - 15.30.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with both students and colleagues.
  • Resilience, patience, and empathy when dealing with students facing challenging circumstances.
