Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Occupational Health Technician to join our team of medical professionals. As an OH Technician, you will be responsible for providing quality health monitoring services, conducting health assessments, and supporting the prevention and management of work-related ill-health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct health assessments, including audiometry, spirometry, HAVs Tier 1 health assessments, blood pressure, and drug and alcohol testing within the chain of custody framework.
  • Provide high-quality health monitoring services to support the health and wellbeing of our employees.
  • Collaborate with our Occupational Health Nurse Advisor and medical coordinator to ensure seamless delivery of our occupational health services.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of occupational health and risk assessment processes.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience as an Occupational Health Technician, Health Care Assistant (HCA) with an interest in screening, or a medic with a few years of experience and a willingness to develop clinical skills relevant to the role.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and risk assessment processes.
  • Certificated training in health surveillance and assessments.
  • Safety critical or rail industry experience.
  • Data analysis skills.
