Job Description:

Due to recent successes and growth within the business, Turner & Townsend's Manchester office requires a Senior Risk Manager to join and become a key member of our successful Risk team.

We're looking for a client-facing Risk Consultant with experience in consulting on Construction Infrastructure projects and liaising with various stakeholders.

The main purpose of this role is to implement or support the implementation of an integrated risk management system across a major capital programme or project.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading risk commissions, including team management
  • Facilitating and working with companies and stakeholders to identify, assess, and prioritize threats, opportunities, and issues
  • Maintaining visibility of threat/opportunity trigger points to facilitate risk cost profiling, timely drawdown of risk budget, or retirement of threat/opportunity
  • Monitoring overall risk exposure and assessing against the remaining risk budget and timeline
  • Proactively managing the completion of management responses
  • Working with the supply chain to assess contractor responsibility risks and their views on client risks that could impact their ability to deliver
  • Producing and presenting fit-for-purpose risk reports in a timely manner to support the effective communication of threat & opportunity status and required senior management action
  • Conducting quantitative risk assessments (cost and schedule) to inform project contingency and time risk allowance levels
  • Presenting key risk findings to clients, including assurance of supply chain risk management performance
  • Familiarity with web-based database/reporting tools – ARM, Xactium, Predict, Tableau, PowerBI
  • Commission management and risk service development and delivery

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Quantitative Schedule Risk Assessments and Quantitative Cost Risk Assessments (QRSA's and QRCA's) and have used software such as Primavera Risk Analysis, @risk, and/or Safran.

Candidates will ideally demonstrate the following capabilities:

  • A working understanding of developing and implementing integrated risk management solutions across portfolios, programmes, and projects
  • Risk and Scenario Analysis workshop facilitation
  • A strong understanding of Project Controls methodology and risk management interactions
  • Experience of senior management engagement on risk management
  • We are looking for candidates with proven experience in a risk delivery role on major projects/programmes or blue chip companies
  • IRM/APM risk certified candidates preferred
