About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Childrens Residential Home Manager to lead our team in providing high-quality care and support to children aged 5-17 who have experienced complex trauma. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all operations, ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and standards requirements, including the Children Acts 1989 & 2004, Care Standards Act 2000, and Childrens Homes Regulations 2015.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £42,000 - £46,000 per year, with opportunities for performance-related bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, including 25 days of holiday per year plus bank holidays, life insurance, wellness programme, company pension, employee assistance programme, discounted or free food, on-site parking, and work-from-home days.

About the Job:

As a Childrens Residential Home Manager at Recruit 2 Success, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing all aspects of the home's operations, including staff management, budgeting, admissions, discharges, and rota management;
  • Maintaining accurate records in compliance with Childrens Homes Regulations 2015;
  • Developing and implementing therapeutic programmes aligned with the Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP) model of care;
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including Social Workers, CAMHS, and other professionals;
  • Facilitating staff training, supervision, and development;
  • Maintaining the homes high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People);
  • A Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or working towards);
  • A minimum of 5 years experience working with children and young people;
  • A minimum of 2 years in a senior or deputy manager role;
  • At least 1 year supervising and managing staff in a care role;
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with children and young people;
  • A thorough understanding of legislative and regulatory frameworks, including the Childrens Homes Regulations and Quality Standards;
  • Leadership and human resource management skills;
  • Proficiency in budget management and service planning;
  • Knowledge of the DDP model, including the ability to apply Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy (PACE) principles.
