The Transpennine Route Upgrade is a groundbreaking initiative to enhance the railway between York and Manchester via Leeds and Huddersfield.

This multi-billion-pound programme will revolutionize connectivity in the North, driving economic growth and delivering tangible benefits for passengers and communities along this vital rail artery.

We are seeking an exceptional Civils Delivery Director to join our dynamic team in Huddersfield, overseeing the construction phase of this prestigious scheme.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Civils IDT Management Team and W3A SLT to ensure the quality of the Works meets the VFM Statement.
  • Accountable for the safe delivery of the major civils scope to time and schedule.
  • Manage risks and opportunities relating to the civils scope.
  • Oversee the civils scope, procurement strategy, budget, risks, and schedule within the geographical footprint on TRU.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior leadership role, managing multiple large-scale projects or programmes.
  • Management of large civil engineering projects in excess of £100m.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior position on a large multi-disciplinary rail project.
  • Experience of producing accurate reports, presenting trend data, and presenting to senior leaders within the programme and parent company.
