The Transpennine Route Upgrade is a groundbreaking railway infrastructure programme that will revolutionize connectivity in the North. As a Civils Delivery Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of this multi-billion-pound project.

Your Mission

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Civils IDT Management Team and W3A SLT to drive project success.
  • Ensure the quality of works meets the VFM Statement, and targets are met or exceeded.
  • Accountable for the safe delivery of major civils scope to time and schedule.
  • Manage risks and opportunities related to the civils scope.
  • Lead the civils scope, procurement strategy, budget, risks, and schedule within the geographical footprint of TRU.
  • Report to the Civils IDT Lead, who holds overall delivery accountability.
  • Integrate the major civils scope with all other disciplines and functions to ensure successful delivery for all alliance partners.
  • Embark on a journey to develop team members, including self, to reach personal goals and ambitions.
  • Deliver the works in line with the baseline schedule and to budget, or below, striving to deliver on opportunities.
What We're Looking For

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior leadership role, managing multiple large-scale projects or programmes.
  • Management of large civil engineering projects exceeding £100m.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior position on a large multi-disciplinary rail project.
  • Experience in producing accurate reports, presenting trend data, and presenting to senior leaders within the programme and parent company.
