Role Overview

We are seeking an Emergency Response Coordinator to join our team in Braintree, providing support to individuals affected by sexual assault and rape. As a key member of our 24/7 contact centre, you will be responsible for handling emergency calls and working closely with professionals such as Police and Social Services.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have experience in telephone triage and call handling. This is a part-time opportunity, working 20 hours per week, with a competitive salary of £27,000-£32,000 per annum, depending on experience.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Handle emergency calls and provide support to individuals affected by sexual assault and rape
  • Work closely with professionals such as Police and Social Services to arrange forensic examinations
  • Provide holistic support and guidance to callers

**Requirements:**

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in telephone triage and call handling
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage conflicting demands
  • Knowledge of health and safety issues
