Sonobuoys Production and Engineering Lead

Ultra Electronics Group is seeking an experienced Sonobuoys Production and Engineering Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Sonobuoys business, you will be responsible for leading the production and engineering activities for our Sonobuoy products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering management, with experience in leading development across the product lifecycle. You will be responsible for ensuring that the project engineering scope is achieved within the committed timescales and budget in accordance with approved engineering management plans.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and co-ordinating engineering support to Production
  • Covering supply chain/production issues (mainly Mech/Elec)
  • Leading on production acceptance activities through range testing
  • Assessing production and range failures

You will work closely with our customers to ensure mission success, and will be responsible for presenting design changes and modifications, ILS aspects, and technical support to customers for Sonobuoy use and the systems they work with.

This is a hybrid role giving you the flexibility to balance working from home and being on-site as necessary, with occasional UK travel. We offer a range of benefits, including flexible working hours, TOIL, and a 25-day holiday allowance.
