About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Sourcing Manager to join our team at Barclays, a leading bank with a strong presence in Manchester, Northampton, Knutsford, and Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning a portfolio of sourcing deals, providing sourcing and category execution support for specific categories of spend, and collaborating with business stakeholders to understand demand and requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand demand, requirements, and support the best commercial outcome
  • Agree the sourcing approach with the category lead, aligned to the category strategy
  • Execute the process, following processes and controls through to contract signature and handover to the supplier manager
  • Additional work on category planning, such as renewals pipeline development and spend analysis, may be required to support the category manager
Requirements
  • Experience of end-to-end sourcing process, ideally in Financial Services or a similarly regulated environment, for categories in scope of the role
  • Structured approach to planning and execution, ensuring key stakeholders and procurement colleagues are appraised of progress, plans, and blockers
  • Ability to work at pace with control at the front of mind
  • Comfortable operating in complex matrixed environments
  • Self-starter, proactive, and quick to learn process, controls, and tools
  • Good interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholders
  • Good collaborative style with other Procurement and Bank teams
  • Experience in one of the following categories: Networks, Data Centre/Co-Lo, Developer Tools/Software, Corporate Banking Technology, Digital, Online and Mobile Customer Experience, Enterprise Software, VP's Workplace & Collaboration and Fraud, AVP's Workplace & Collaboration and Functions Technology, Categories: Legal, HR, Management Consulting/Resource Augmentation/IT Services, Marketing, Capital Projects
