**About the Role**
Talent Finder Jobs is seeking a skilled Design Surveyor to join our team. As a Design Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in conducting surveys of refrigerated and freezer cabinets, preparing technical drawings, and producing comprehensive pick lists and handover packs to facilitate the refurbishment process.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct detailed surveys of refrigerated cabinets, freezer cabinets, and cold rooms components at retail stores, assessing the condition, dimensions, and specifications of existing equipment.
- Accurately measure and document the dimensions of refrigeration units' components and cold storage areas, noting any features or requirements specific to each location.
- Develop detailed pick lists specifying the parts and components needed for the refurbishment, ensuring that all necessary items in line with the scope of works are included to avoid any delays during the refurbishment process.
- Compile and prepare handover packs for the Delivery Manager, including Site Audit detailing any limitations or restrictions, pick lists, and any additional information required for a smooth refurbishment.
- Follow specifications and calculations to create technical drawings, preparing both rough sketches and detailed drawings using CAD systems, and ensuring final drawings are checked prior to issue for manufacturing.
- Work closely with the refurbishment team to ensure they have all necessary parts and information, addressing any issues or queries that arise during the refurbishment process, and owning and cataloguing all component drawings and leasing with Suppliers as required.
- Review and redraft drawings alongside the retail delivery team, identifying and communicating potential design problems to the delivery team, ensuring that all requests for changes are logged and annotated as required.
**What You'll Need**
- Relevant technical or engineering qualifications are advantageous.
- A full UK driving licence is required, as travel to various retail locations will be necessary.
- Previous experience in surveying refrigeration equipment or a related field is highly desirable, with familiarity with measuring and documenting technical specifications being essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and detailed reports and liaise effectively with team members and clients.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, and strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Competence in using computer software for documentation and report preparation, such as CAD systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work both remotely and travel to various retail locations as needed.
