Teaching Personnel is seeking a flexible and patient SEN Support Assistant to work in a local primary school supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).

The successful applicant will be given the training and preparation for the opportunity. This role is ideal for individuals looking to commit long term and gain familiarity and routine with the pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure pupils are engaged and comfortable during lessons
  • Assist in personal care tasks as an when if needed, e.g., toileting and feeding
  • Plan and implement techniques to deal with challenging behaviour in pupils where appropriate
  • Participate in relevant training and courses as required

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Enhanced DBS
  • Registration with the EWC (Education Workforce Council)
  • Relevant experience either personally or professionally in the SEN sector

We offer free child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

This is a temporary position, but the option to make it permanent may become available at a later date. Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

The estimated salary for this role is £12.82 per hour and £83.85 per day, paid part-time 10-15 hours per week, 5 days, 2-3 hours per day.
